To ensure that the special qualities of Britain’s upland landscapes are protected and promoted the ML needs a sound understanding of access and conservation issues and of the intrinsic qualities of Britain’s upland environments.

This course takes place within the central fells of the English Lake District and is led by MSc Environmental Consultant David Broom, providing opportunity for expert tuition within upland landscapes of international conservation importance.

Entirely hill based, providing a valuable opportunity to explore an extensive area of upland landscape, habitats and vegetation types, from the farmed valley to the montane zone of the high fells.

By the end of the course, participants will understand key requirements of the ML Syllabus concerning Access and Conservation and legislation; boost your knowledge of the natural environment, ecology and conservation of British uplands; enthuse others in a wide range of upland access and conservation issues.
