Quality Training & Assesment in The Lake District

Combine the expertise and dedication put into every Mountain Sense course with the mountains of The Lake District and you can be assured of the best possible training. This course is based on the syllabus set out by Mountain Training and the particular needs of candidates.

We will cover skills and techniques required when leading groups hill walking and wild camping in the UK mountains. Our highly enjoyable course includes navigation, group management, leading on steep ground, risk assessment and emergency use of the rope. Consideration of the weather, mountain rescue, the environment and other related topics will also be covered. The majority of the course is practical and we also include some theory sessions in the evenings which will be interactive and lively.

Mountain Sense specialises in First Aid training specific to Outdoor Professionals.

Our First Aid trainers are members of one of the busiest Mountain Rescue Teams in the UK and provide pre-hospital emergency care on a regular basis. The skills we teach on this very practical course are based on our own experiences providing first aid and rescue in remote and mountainous environments.

Whether you require first aid training to endorse a National Governing Body qualification or just want peace of mind that you can deal with a medical emergency anywhere from the kitchen to the Karakoram, Mountain Sense have a First Aid Training Course for you.
